BROOKSTOCK, A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC & NATURE, runs from 2-8:30 pm on Sat., July 17 at Cleveland Metroparks Brookside Reservation¸ offering music performances, games, arts and crafts, and live animals. Event site is located off John Nagy Blvd. off the Ridge Road entrance of Brookside Reservation.

KIDS’ SUMMER FILM FEST offers free family films at the Capitol Theatre, W.65th and Detroit, at 10 a.m. the following Wed. mornings: July 7: The Fantastic Mr. Fox; July 14: Alvin and the Chipmunks; July 21: Planet 51; July 28: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs; Aug. 4: Diary of a Wimpy Kid. RIVERSIDE CEMETERY CLEVELAND BREWERS TOUR is a guided walking tour among resting places of early Cleveland brewmasters on Sat., July 31, from 9 am – noon, part of Cleveland Metroparks Urban Explorations series. PUERTO RICO BIRTH CERTIFICATE CLINIC will be held on Wed., July 7, 1-4 pm, at the Spanish American Committee, 4407 Lorain Avenue. As of July 1, l birth certificates will become invalid and people born in Puerto Rico will have to apply for a new certificate. Volunteers from The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland will help with the process at this free clinic. First-come, first-served. For more information, call (216) 687-1900.

ANNUAL PHONE BOOK RECYCLING CAMPAIGN: Unwanted phone books can be recycled by dropping off at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, 3900 Wildlife Way, and several other Metroparks location seven days a week during regular park hours. Phone books only – no plastic bags – can be dropped off in the dark green collection container in the Zoo’s Hippo Parking Lot. PLAYHOUSE SQUARE AUGUST CLASSIC FILM SERIES offers free tickets to seniors (60 yrs or older) for the film “Love in the Afternoon”, starring Gary Cooper and Audrey Hepburn, to be shown at the Palace Theatre downtow on Fri., Aug. 13, at 1 pm. VOLUNTEERS

SEEDS OF LITERACY NEEDS VOLUNTEER TUTORS for summer adult literacy program at the Resource Center, 3104 W.25th , 3rd floor (W.25th & Clark). The non-profit Seeds of Literacy offers free tutoring in basic education and GED preparation in basic education and GED preparation in weekday morning, afternoon, or evening sessions. The facility is ADA accessible and on major RTA lines. All tutors are required to attend one tutor training session; no teaching experience is necessary.
