New boundaries for First and Second Police Districts

(Plain Press, June 2008) Effective Monday May 5th 2008 there are new boundaries between the First and Second Police Districts on the West Side of Cleveland. The Western boundary of the Second District is now as follows:  Lake Avenue from Edgewater Park to W. 85th Street, W. 85th Street to Clark Avenue, Clark Avenue to W. 73rd, W. 73rd to Denison, Denison to Ridge Road, and following the Cleveland border with Brooklyn south from Ridge and Denison to Brookpark Road. Lake Erie is on the North, the Cuyahoga River on the East and the Cleveland city-line on the south of the Second District.

Everything on the west side of Cleveland, to the west of the Second District is in the First District. The eastern boundary of the First District includes the area from the western edge of Edgewater park, to the south side of Lake Avenue to the West Side of W. 85th, the area south of Clark from W. 84 to W. 73rd, the west side of W. 73rd to Denison Avenue. The First District includes all Cleveland territory west of this boundary, the area south of Denison and west of Ridge Road and everything in Cleveland west of the City of Brooklyn.
