Wednesday, October 15, 2008, Grand Opening of new offices of Cudell Improvement Inc., The Southwest Savings and Loan Building, 9821 Lorain Avenue: Ward 19 Councilwoman Dona Brady, Ward 18 Councilman Jay Westbrook, Cudell Improvement Board President Melanie Shakarian, and Cudell Improvement Executive Director Anita Brindza cut the ribbon for the new Cudell Improvement Headquarters in the restored Southwest Savings and Loan Building.

Thursday, October 16, 2008, Southeast Corner of W. 30th and Chatham: Todd Zalud of 2935 Chatham Avenue stands before his RV that was partially swallowed by a large sinkhole. Residents report a steady leak along the curbline for several weeks without a response from the Cleveland Water Department until large quantities of water began to gush from a manhole cover in the middle of street on Saturday, October 11th. While water workers stopped the water flow and marked the street for repair crews, no action other action was taken before the road collapsed.

The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4th.
